The first half flies by so quickly. The half-time whistle goes, and I am left wondering what had happened to the past forty minutes.

The second half drags by. I want it to end because it only takes a few seconds for Wilko to drop and it could all be over. Five minutes left - and then the final whistle. We won, we won, we won, we won.

It doesn't sink in. Vuvuzelas, car hooters and excited cheers are our soundtrack as we celebrate. It still doesn't sink in.

Around 3 AM, it finally sinks in. I start to weep with joy like everyone had done four hours earlier. We are the champions.
